1/16/2019 9:30 am – 11:30 am | Campus Events
Fusion Academy and Center for Discovery are pleased to present Countertransference: The Emotional Entanglement in Therapy.
Countertransference occurs when a therapist projects his or her feelings unconsciously onto the client. It is prevalent in many therapeutic relationships and may be problematic if not identified and dealt with appropriately. In this course, the instructors will define countertransference and address how to recognize it. Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore how countertransference may be impacting their relationship and treatment with current clients.
Presented by Capri Warchol, Psy. D, Regional Director Northeast Outpatient Programs at Center for Discovery, and Francine Figueroa, MSW, LCSW, Program Director for Center for Discovery Greenwich.
This program has been approved for 1.5 Continuing Education Credit Hours by NASW/CT and meets the continuing education criteria for Social Work, Marital and Family Therapist and Professional Counselor Licensure renewal.
