Social Success: A Road Map for Your Teen

What is one skill that is equally useful and valued from infancy through old age? The ability to build social bonds and interpersonal relationships!  Our connection with others provides the foundation for many aspects of our daily experiences.  Individuals with even just a couple of meaningful social connections report living more fulfilled and happier lives. Research and clinical practice repeatedly demonstrate the benefits of social skills.

One of the most valuable gifts we can give our children is the knowledge and skills to form meaningful social relationships.  Many individuals who participate in PEERS ®, a structured skill building group, demonstrate significant changes in making and keeping friends. PEERS (Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills) is designed for adolescents with social challenges in middle and high school.

Join Joy Kolb, PhD, BCBA-D and Susan M. Abrams M.A. CCC-SLP for an information session to learn about this innovative program and how they have enhanced it to incorporate Social Thinking concepts and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
