Michelle is new to Fusion Academy, opening the first Fusion campus in the Boston area in 2018. She earned her Bachelors degree in Music Education with an emphasis in Oboe Performance from Ithaca College and a Masters degree in Oboe Performance and Education from the New England Conservatory of Music. She began her professional career as a music director in Catholic independent schools and following the completion of her studies in Educational Leadership and Supervision at Johns Hopkins University, she began a career in Educational Administration. Michelle has served as Dean of Students and Principal in predominantly Catholic all-girls independent schools in Maryland and Massachusetts. She is passionate about meeting the needs of every individual student and is thrilled to join the Fusion team in providing outstanding one to one education for our students.
Michelle continues to enjoy music and serves as a steering committee chair on the Alumni Council at the New England Conservatory of Music. As an educator, Michelle has also taken on the role of Co-Chair of the Prevention and Education Task Force of the Governor’s Council to Address Sexual Abuse and Domestic Violence for the state of Massachusetts. She is currently working on a statewide framework and curriculum to be used in schools throughout the Commonwealth.
Day to day life can be very busy so Michelle, her husband and four children appreciate spending time together in the Adirondack Mountains of New York whenever they can break away!
