Kristen Kemp is a 500 E-RYT and Registered Children's Yoga Teacher. In addition to her fitness and yoga classes at Fusion, she teaches in elementary schools, hot power yoga studios, prison, Bryant Park in NYC and Yoga Journal conferences. She believes healthy movement leads to better body image and increased confidence. She's not afraid to talk about hard things because getting our deepest feelings out in the open leads to healing. She gets to know students so she can tailor movement, strength and flexibility to their specific emotional and physical needs.
Kristen is a longtime freelance writer for Glamour, Cosmopolitan, Yoga Journal and many other publications. She's written books for Scholastic, Random House and Simon & Schuster. She's taught writing to kids and adults at the New York Public Library, all over New York City and Montclair. Her childhood passion was writing and she still loves to read anything she can get her hands on. (Right now, she's loving The Hate U Give.)
When she's not teaching yoga and movement or doing some writing, she's usually cooking for her 3 kids (ages 13, 13 and 11), walking her 3 dogs or feeding her 3 guinea pigs. She lives with her husband, cat and au pair in Montclair. She is an EMT for Glen Ridge Volunteer Ambulance Service. She believes in living and following your heart and creating the life of your dreams.
