As Master Teacher, David divides his time between teaching and being the instructional lead for the campus. He assists the Head of School, and is responsible for overseeing and aiding in the professional development of our teachers.
He attended Seton Hall University for both graduate and undergraduate degrees, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in English, and a Master of Arts and Education Specialist in Mental Health Counseling.
David’s work experience covers ground in corporate, non-profit, education, special needs education, entertainment, publishing, and mental health arenas. Before earning his LAC (Licensed Associate Counselor), he worked as a clinical intern at Morristown Memorial Hospital’s adult Intensive Outpatient Program. As an LAC, he worked as an Intensive In-Home Therapist before finding Fusion. He is also a Certified Drum Therapist through the non-profit organization, Drums Against Disabilities, and he spends some evening and weekend hours doing cognitive drumming modalities with children with special needs.
David enjoys writing and recording music in his home studio. He’s a Contributing Writer for Modern Drummer Magazine. He also enjoys vacationing in Lake George and Cape May with his wife, daughter and extended family.
David is somehow related to Samuel Morse. He doesn’t know how to do Morse Code, however, he shares the sentiment of his favorite comedian, Mitch Hedberg, that if he did understand Morse Code, a tap dancer would likely drive him crazy.
