Homework Café Teacher/Mentor
Lindsey DeLuna is Fusion Mission Viejo’s American Sign Language (ASL) Teacher/Mentor and a Homework Café Teacher/Mentor. Lindsey desires to be an encouraging influence on all students here at Fusion. Lindsey taught herself basic ASL when she was 6 years old with a Sesame Street Sign Language book and since then has continued to feel drawn to ASL and the Deaf Community.
Lindsey has provided American Sign Language interpreting at her church for over three years and works regularly at the Wilderness Camp for Deaf Children as a seasonal camp counselor during the summer. Lindsey has a history in interpreting for the Deaf but prefers to enjoy conversational ASL and educating the Hearing Community on the Deaf Culture.
When Lindsey is not plotting to save the world, she is out trying new restaurants with her husband (the weirder the food the better!) while planning their next adventure, antiquing for rare finds, and interior decorating. You can also find her counting her macros several times a day and breaking a sweat at boot-camp! (She may also be addicted to Amazon). Now that she has fulfilled her number one bucket list item of being fluent in ASL, she is considering completing her second bucket list item of stripping down a car and rebuilding it.
