Humanities & ASL Teacher
Denise Verdin teaches American Sign Language, English, History, and Life Skills at Fusion Academy. She attended California State University, Northridge, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Deaf Studies with a concentration in Deaf Education. In the near future, Denise will be pursuing her graduate degree in Educational Leadership Policy Studies. She worked as a pre-school teacher and tutor while still in college, and has worked as a behavioral interventionist for children with Autism and other learning difficulties. Denise enjoys spending time with her family and dogs in her spare time and volunteering for various Deaf and Latinx advocacy organizations. Denise’s first language was Spanish, making her trilingual, and she plans to continue learning more languages.
