Computer Science Teacher/Mentor
Sean was born in Santa Rosa, CA, and grew up surrounded by family. He has always loved drawing and anything with wheels –, especially cars. He also found a passion for video games by sitting on his father’s lap as he played on the Commodore 64. In 2007, Sean earned his B.F.A. in Animation and Visual Effects, with a focus in Game Design from The Academy of Art University in San Francisco. While looking for a position in the games industry, he began teaching children’s drawing and animation camps at the Charles M. Schulz museum. There, he discovered a love for teaching, especially when seeing children develop their own passions through art and play. Soon after, Sean landed a position teaching video game design and prototyping courses at Northwest Vista College in San Antonio, TX. During his two years in Texas, Sean organized a social after-school Game Analysis Lab, and taught Game Design camps to middle school students during the summer breaks. After two years, Sean moved back to his girlfriend (whom he later married) and family.
