Department Head of History
Jordan is from Highland Utah, a small town in the mountains near Salt Lake City. He completed his BA in German Studies at Utah State University, during which he did an exchange for a couple semesters at the Goethe Institut in Freiburg am Breisgau, Germany. Throughout his undergrad he enjoyed studying the classics, participating in advanced readings in Latin of the works of Julius Caesar and Virgil, among others.
Classically trained in Piano Performance, his musical interests began with the masters such as Chopin, Beethoven and Bach. However, he also enjoys spending much of his time listening to modern composers and music as well. When he’s not teaching or trying to learn a new language, Jordan can be found backpacking Europe, searching the city for a bizarre fusion restaurant, or just spending time with friends.
