Dylan Sheehan is a firm believer in the age old saying, “do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.” He teaches music in our state of the art recording studio where he is able to teach anything from guitar, bass, drums, vocals, piano, banjo, harmonica, music theory, and even world music. While studying at University of California Santa Barbara, he played in many ensembles including, Gospel Choir, Middle East Ensemble, Gamelan Orchestra, North Indian Classical ensemble, American Folk Ensemble, and Mariachi. After graduating with a BA in Ethnomusicology, he knew that teaching was what he wanted to do with his life and immediately began a career in teaching at a private music academy in Huntington Beach. He played in a professional rock band for 10 years, where he was able to write, record, and tour both domestically and in Japan, attracting many sponsors such as Hurley, RVCA, Warriors of Radness, Sabre Vision, and more. He is happy to have moved to Santa Cruz and joined the Fusion team where he is able to continue his passion for one to one music instruction in such a positive and welcoming environment. In his free time he loves to surf, ride bikes, read, and go hiking and backpacking with his dog Konga and his girlfriend.
