Nicole Alexander

Nicole grew up in bucolic Northern Westchester and is, admittedly, a hippy at heart; she is happiest outdoors, with the sun on her face and her feet in the grass. Nicole teaches yoga and mindfulness in Westchester County to adults and children. She is also an Ayurveda Wellness Counselor (this is a system of holistic wellness and healing that is based on each individual’s mind/body constitution) and a Writer. You can read her work on Yoga International and Elephant Journal.

Nicole received her undergraduate degree in English Education from NYU. After living and working in NYC for a few years, Nicole made her way to San Francisco, where she worked in Finance (a very different time in her life!) and enjoyed some of the most memorable adventures of her life, such as breath-taking coastal hikes, rock climbing, and surfing. While she lived in CA, she was enrolled in a Masters of Fine Arts program in Creative Nonfiction at Antioch University--Los Angeles, a “low residency” program that allowed her to travel to LA for 10-day residencies.

Nicole is delighted to join Fusion Academy’s family and to have the opportunity to share with students her love of Yoga, Wellness, Literature and Creative Writing.
