Head of School
Chris Kanzler is Fusion Denver’s Head of School and couldn’t be more excited to introduce Colorado to Fusion! Previously, he was the Assistant Director at Fusion Lincoln Park in Chicago and, before that, worked in the Homework Café and taught English & Spanish at Fusion Los Angeles.
He attended Pepperdine University where he earned a degree in Modern Languages: Hispanic Studies. Later he received his TEFL certification from an institute in Chiang Mai, Thailand and a Level C2 DELE Certification in Spanish from the Cervantes Institute.
Chris has been in the classroom since his days with Jumpstart, a work-study program supported by Americorps. Since then he has lived and taught in South Korea, Thailand and, most recently, in Chile where he developed and piloted the first-ever English program for the tourism branch of the Chilean government. Home will always be St. Louis, Missouri, where Chris was born and raised and where much of his family still lives.
In his free time, Chris loves to be outdoors and under the sun, riding his bike all over town, mainly in search of great food, a body of water or two trees where he can put up his hammock. Traveling is also a passion so he's always thinking about which destination to visit next. Being new to Denver, local travel tips are welcome and appreciated and he's more than happy to share some of his own from across the world!
