The course is an introduction to statistics and probability theory. It begins with an overview of data, goes through an introduction to probability theory, and ends with statistical inference. Students will be familiar with data collection, graphical displays, types of data and calculating data. Students will also be familiar with the basic rules of probability and will be able to use them to make predictions and to analyze. Students will understand how statistics and probability are used to make inferences about populations. Students will use technology and real data throughout the course.
