In this honors course, students will use techniques previously learned from the study of Algebra 2 with Trigonometry. Emphasis will be placed on real world instances and applications of the material, to connect students to the use of mathematics in their everyday existence. Students will master concepts such as complex numbers, polar coordinates, systems of equations, matrices, and limits. Pre-calculus prepares students for the study of Calculus, and provides an introduction to limits and derivatives. The honors level course includes summative semester assessments, as well as significantly increased difficulty and rigor in the types of problems and applications.
