Humanities provides a survey and diverse understanding of humankind. This course discusses the interconnectedness of the human experience through the study of history, art, literature, rhetorical and critical analysis. Humanities students will learn to appreciate great works of art, architecture, literature, music and poetry through a close analysis of various cultures and historical time periods. Students will analyze and engage with literature, art, historical documents, political philosophy, scientific achievement and religion to explore and better understand the creative power of the human mind and spirit.
