In this year-long course, students will become proficient in solving, graphing, and describing diverse equations and will build their understandings in applying mathematical principles to real-world situations. Students will be able to solve and graph linear equations and inequalities and further develop their understandings of systems of equations by utilizing matrices and inverses. They will expand on their knowledge of exponents and be able to utilize exponential functions. Students understand and use operations of polynomials to solve quadratic functions and apply these concepts in real situations. Students will also be able to use data analysis tools to display, and compare data trends in context. Students will have excelled in a Pre-Algebra course, or equivalent, in order to be prepared for Algebra 1 Honors.
