Jordi Sabaté is a teacher and mentor at Fusion Academy. Jordi was born in Barcelona, where he began studying in art schools at a young age. His life experiences brought him to the United States, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design at the Art Institute of Philadelphia. Jordi speaks Catalan, Spanish, and English. As a Spanish teacher, he has been teaching in full-immersion language programs for several years. As a graphic designer, he creates visual concepts, using computer software or by hand, to communicate ideas that inspire and inform the recipients. As an artist he works in several mediums, such as graphite, acrylics, watercolor, and digital media. Jordi has a passion for transferring his knowledge to others through teaching, as well as learning new skills from others. As a result of this passion, he has received teaching awards and was named teacher of the year at a well-known language academy. He has also earned several first place awards in juried art competition, and has participated several art exhibits.
When Jordi is not at Fusion, you can find him at the gym, in art galleries, or spending time with his dog. Some of his other interests are animals, nutrition, and learning about different cultures from around the world.
