Education

Carissa holds master's degrees in Educational Leadership from Johns Hopkins University and Curriculum & Instruction from Drexel University, and is a certified K–12 principal in PA.

Experience

With more than 20 years of experience in public, charter, and private schools, she has taught elementary and middle school students, led intervention teams, coached educators, and served as both Head of School and Founding Assistant Head of School for a Philadelphia charter network. Passionate about teacher development and holistic student growth, she also mentors fellow educators as an Alumni Mentor.

Fun Facts and Hobbies

  • Outside of work, Carissa enjoys cooking and baking with her daughter, spending time with family and friends, taking scenic drives with her husband, savoring a good cup of coffee, and relaxing on spontaneous getaways.
