Math & Economics Teacher/Mentor
Matt teaches math and economics at Fusion, and he’s especially interested in helping students to feel that their education is directly relevant and meaningful in their day-to-day lives. Matt earned a BA in English and Psychology at St. Mary’s College of Maryland and a Master’s in writing from Johns Hopkins University. He has taught for sixteen years (math, English and social studies), serving in administrative roles and directing a successful student restorative justice committee for eight years.
In his spare time, Matt can be found reading, exploring the city, going to the movies, or working on side projects. One previous project was designing board games, and the current project involves helping families of multi-generational wealth join the effort to save the world.
