Director of Student Development
Kevin Rodrigues has worked multiple roles at Fusion. He started as the Science/Math/Computer Teacher/Mentor at Fusion Academy Tysons and then transitioned into the role of the Director of Homework Café at the same campus before moving to the DC campus as our Director of Student Development.
He was born and raised in India and has dabbled in various concentrations during his education. From earning a diploma at an Acting School, to attending one day of Medical School, he has tried to put his restlessness to best use and turn it in his favor. He got his Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Mumbai University and soon after moved to the United States to get his Master of Science in Telecommunications Engineering form George Mason University, only to give it all up and work in education. As proud as he is of his degree, he has always been aware that his true passion is working with children in the field of education; pushing limits and tweaking traditional forms of teaching, an opportunity that Fusion has offered him. He finds himself privileged to be working in education and being a contributor in changing the lives of students and families.
Some of his other passions include politics, social work, makeup, and some more politics. He obsesses over Bollywood movies, food, and his plants! He has over fifty plants at his apartment and has no plans to stop! In his free time he enjoys dancing, going to the gym, doing macramé, making dreamcatchers, and volunteering as a board member with an LGBTQ organization based in the DMV area.
