As digital technology rapidly evolves, it becomes more stimulating and distracting. During a lockdown, the learning environment becomes less structured and more dependent on this technology, with the burden on parents to assist their children in regulating their screen use becoming an even greater one. any teenagers seem to be falling through the virtual cracks with little hope of getting help. This event is designed to answer some of the following questions, as well as any others parents may have on the use of digital technology:

•    Is excessive use of digital technology a problem for your kids, exacerbated by the lockdown?
•    How do they maintain their involvement in academics, family, relationships, and extracurricular activities when real life activities are so limited and they spend so much of their day on a screen?
•    What are some effective parenting strategies for surviving this pandemic without completely surrendering to this stimulating virtual world that is more accessible than ever?

A local child and adolescent psychiatrist who is a nationally recognized expert on healthy screen use, Clifford Sussman, MD, will share his knowledge and answer your questions. The event will feature a 60 minute lunch and learn presentation followed by a 30 minute  interactive question and answer session.
