Miles Levy-Nordhoff is a math/science/English teacher and mentor, systems Super User, and test-prep lead at Fusion Academy Warner Center. He studied Mechanical Engineering for two years at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Cal State Northridge. He is currently enrolled in Alliant International University’s master’s program for Marriage and Family Therapy.
Miles has worked as a private tutor for 15 years and has worked at Fusion Warner Center for 6 years. He was the Math Department Head for 4 years before entering his master’s program. In high school, he worked at a tutoring company, Innovation Education, at which he formulated new learning programs and business expansion plans. During his undergrad, he volunteered at 826LA, a non-profit organization that worked with students on developing and achieving their academic writing goals.
Miles enjoys woodworking and has built several pieces of furniture in his home. He has built numerous computers and has helped students learn more about the process and build their own. He also enjoys golfing and snowboarding. Miles enjoys movies that question the nature of reality. Some of his favorites are The Matrix, The Truman Show, Fight Club, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
