Creativity, compassion, and critical thinking are three of the values that Karna Chea instills in her students every day. Karna received a minor in British Literature of The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from The University of Phoenix. Karna has taught Humanities for the past 20 years in a variety of classrooms and recently taught for four years at a project-based learning school. Through learning the PBL method, she ensures her students tackle deeply engaging projects about real-world issues that require critical thought, inquiry, and synthesis.
She has dedicated herself to becoming a life-long educator and learner, and she strives to instill a similar desire in all of the students with whom she works. As an educational leader and advocate, Karna volunteers over 200 hours annually, helping families with life skills that are both practical and beneficial in their daily lives. She currently lives in Tarzana, CA.
Hobbies: puzzling, reading, watching movies, and spending time with her family.
