Barbara Kolakowski works in Fusion’s math department.
Barbara has always loved teaching. She earned her Bachelor of Education from the University of Manitoba, Canada. Throughout her career, she has taught mathematics to students at every grade level, K-12, in both public and private schools in Winnipeg and in Los Angeles. In 1994, she was honored with the Outstanding Teacher Award from Johns Hopkins University. She especially loves helping high school students experience more joy, excitement, and inspiration with the logic and creative art inherent in mathematics.
In her free time, Barbara enjoys exercising, studying math, creating artwork, and knitting and crocheting for international charities focused on refugee relief.
