Director of Homework Café

Abigail creates a vibrant academic, social space through community and creativity as Director of Homework Café.

Abigail is a California native from Agoura Hills. She studied Painting and Drawing, with a minor in writing and literature, at California College of the Arts and obtained her BFA in 2016. Abigail began her career in education in undergrad working as an English and art tutor, and once graduated focused on teaching art. Her passion for teaching creativity lead her to getting an MA in art education, which she completed in 2020.

Prior to working at Fusion, Abigail managed an art studio in West LA  for four years and taught art privately to kids and adults. Aside from teaching, Abbey’s artistic practice is important to her. Having grown up in a community surrounded by the Santa Monica Mountains, nature has been influential for her practice. Her work focuses on wildlife and environmental issues caused by human involvement and urbanization.

When not teaching or painting, you can find her at the beach, at a plant store, with her three cats, or at Disneyland!
