Jeff graduated twice from New York University with both his graduate and undergraduate degrees in English and Theatre Education.
Jeff originally comes from Detroit, Michigan but has spent most of his life on the East Coast, both in New York City and in New England (Massachusetts and Vermont). He has taught English to middle and high school students for 30 years, both in public urban schools and in private preparatory academies. During that time, Jeff has also served as an acting coach and theater director, a choral director, a theater technician and a piano accompanist. He has actively been involved with the arts at Interlochen Arts Academy, Northwestern University, Columbia College and in New York, where he ran his own theater company. When not working in these two fields, he has been active in debate and public speaking and has enjoyed a career as an athletic coach in football, basketball and baseball. Jeff has recently moved to the East Bay where his wife is a teacher at the Athenian School and where his two kids study (1 currently, 1 off to college)
