Hayley Usedom


Hayley teaches Mathematics and Sciences here at Fusion Academy. She earned a Bachelors of Science at CSU-Monterey Bay in Earth Systems Science and Policy with an emphasis in Marine and Coastal Ecology. Before joining the team at Fusion, she worked as a science instructor with Quantum Camp for two years. Prior to that she worked at the Marine Science Institute (MSI) for nine years as an instructor, camp director, and then education coordinator giving the students an opportunity to explore hands-on marine life and the water around them. Before MSI she taught a variety of hands-on teaching projects that consist of sewer science and outdoor education.

Always wanting to grow and learn more in life, she is planning on advancing her credentials and is working to receive her Master’s. Hayley loves exploring nature through hiking, kayaking, and other outdoor activities. She is an avid movie goer and loves to check out old and new films. Hayley has a passion for music and plays multiple instruments. She loves being able to take her baby to swim lessons and spending time with her husband and family.
