Kiana Penson

English/History Teacher & Mentor

Kiana Penson is a Portland native. Her love and passion for children and helping others has served her well with her chosen field of mentoring and tutoring. She, impressively, began this work while in grade school. After moving to Houston to attend Texas Southern University, Kiana volunteered in underprivileged and under served communities  throughout her entire collegiate career. She was awarded, and completed, a six month internship in the Walt Disney Professional Internship program in Orlando, Florida. Soon after that, she obtained her Bachelor’s degree from T.S.U.

Kiana first joined the Fusion family in January 2016, at the Houston-Galleria campus before transferring to the Sugar Land campus in 2018. Kiana describes, with passion, her love for making an impact in the lives of  our youth. It is with great honor and responsibility that she savors her role as a teacher and mentor. Kiana understands that change begins with each and every one of us.

In her free time, Kiana enjoys family and friends, painting, traveling, being outdoors, brunch, music, and “I Love Lucy” reruns.

Kiana loves to help every student reach their full potential and become their own greatest success.
