Experience

Cody comes to Fusion after having spent 3 years working as a paraprofessional at First Colony Middle School. There, he worked hands on with children dealing with a variety of disabilities, both behavioral and cognitive. He also collaborated with teachers to create a customized learning experience that best suited the students to ensure the most efficient but comfortable environment. Through patience and understanding he was able to build connections and rapport while helping students stay engaged in their curriculum and practice proper social learning. Cody is also a proficient musician. Having played the drums since he was 9 years old, he has spent most of his life outside of education writing music for a variety of different genres. During these endeavors Cody had the opportunity to travel to multiple parts of the country, tour with some of his favorite bands and perform to a vast demographic of people and fans alike. Though music has always been his number one passion, he takes the well being of students to heart and yearns to see the students he meets thrive in all areas of their life inside and out of school.
