Education
Ben graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor's in History. Afterwards, he earned a Master's History degree from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Experience
Ben is known as a “Jack of all Trades." Not only does he teach history, but also life skills and leadership. He served in the U.S Air Force in Charleston, South Carolina as an Air Transportation Craftsman & Classroom Instructor. In this role, he developed and implemented 15 training plans, provided 1,500 hours of classroom instruction on technical and non-technical skills, certified 89 students, and was deployed to Qatar, Iraq and Afghanistan, strengthening his operational risk management in austere conditions.
After Charleston, Ben served in the U.S. Air Force in Azores, Portugal as the Based Honor Guard Manager and Aircraft Services Supervisor. In this role, he conducted 196 hours of hands-on training for 12 students, and successfully executed 19 ceremonial functions. He also directed airfield operation and inspection procedures to nine Portuguese nationals, solidifying international relations.
