Layla Gibson

B.A. in French and Early Modern Studies

Layla studied abroad in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada to pursue her degree in French and Early Modern studies. After having read Rousseau in her first year philosophy course, she decided that she had to change her major to French in order to read his works in French one day.

Layla has been teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) and French since 2019. Because she's an avid language learner herself (who understands the crippling fear of making mistakes when speaking!), she believes she can come from a place of empathy, understanding, and--above all--patience with her students.
