Alex earned his bachelor's degree in mathematics and physics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
During his undergraduate career, Alex researched global solutions to various partial differential equations as well as stochastic optimization of solar cells. He also worked as an undergraduate learning assistant for math courses ranging from algebra to analysis, calculus and beyond.
