Education

Brigitte Hallier was born and raised in France. Brigitte came to the United States at the age of 10 and thus is bilingual and intimately familiar with the acquisition of a second language. She is a graduate of both Arizona State University (ASU) and the University of Arizona (U of A). She attained her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology from ASU and her Master’s in Education degree from the U of A.

Between ASU and U of A, she attended medical school after which time she decided not to practice medicine so as to devote herself entirely to her daughter. She has an M.D. with 2 years of internship in the field of Anatomic Pathology.

Experience

Since completing her Master’s program, Brigitte has been teaching and substituting for over 10 years which has allowed her to have the same schedule as her daughter during the scholastic years.

Miss Hallier teaches French, Biology, and Anatomy/Physiology. Her expertise lies in simplifying complex concepts from beginner level to mastery.

Fun Facts and Hobbies

  • In her spare time, she enjoys painting ceramics with her daughter, walking long distances with her dog (even in mid-July in Arizona!), and painting color-by-number pieces.
  • Most of her time is spent caring for, and playing with, all of her daughter’s animals which include a dog, 2 guinea pigs, and a Shetland pony!
  • She makes amazing chocolate chip cookies from scratch!
