Uzma Javed

Experience

In her undergraduate years, Uzma has worked in various labs relating to Neuroscience. These opportunities led her to pursue a career in research at the National Institutes of Health, and then to obtain a higher degree in Neuroscience at the University of Maryland.

Before joining the Fusion team, Uzma has worked as a graduate student at the University of Maryland and Children’s National Medical Center. She worked on the developing visual circuit to teach and mentor students who wanted to be involved in research. She also got the opportunity to become a teaching assistant at the University of Maryland for introductory Neuroscience classes to help grade and encourage them to improve their writing skills for journals.
