Nicole is a committed and passionate Campus Director for Fusion Academy Reston. She has worked with children who learn differently for over fifteen years. In her final year of undergraduate, she had the opportunity to run a summer camp for special needs children. This experience sparked her passion, where immediately after completing her undergrad, she attended the University of Pennsylvania for her Masters in Special Education. Since then, she has worked with children and adults and advanced to different leadership positions to help others provide the same passion and support she has. Before joining the Fusion team, Nicole worked as a Clinical Supervisor and Behavioral Consultant in Pennsylvania from 2012-2017. Nicole has expanded her skills and expertise during this time and used her leadership skills to train, support, and counsel her staff in providing the best support for both children and adults with different diagnoses such as Autism, Borderline Personality, and other IDD’s. She also became certified in Functional Behavioral Analysis (FBA).
In 2017, Nicole discovered Fusion Academy in Plano, Texas, and the rest is history. She spent four years teaching History, Economics, and Government, while also serving as a mentor to new teachers, supporting the campus as the Special Education Lead, and finding the perfect matches for Fusion as the Prospecting Coordinator.
Nicole was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (Go Steelers). She attended the Clarion University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education: Social Studies with two minors in History and Political Science. She graduated Cum Laude from both undergraduate and graduate school as well as Honors Societies Phi Alpha Theta (History), Kappa Delta Pi (Education), and Pi Sigma Alpha (Political Science).
Nicole spends her free time with her loved ones, mostly traveling back to Pittsburgh. When she’s not traveling to Pittsburgh, she is always looking for new cities to explore and meet new people. She loves watching sports and is VERY competitive, especially when it comes to cycling.
She is looking forward to bringing her experience and high energy as Campus Director building the culture, and expand the Fusion family to the Reston area.
