Kristen Lancaster earned her Bachelors of Science in Mathematical Sciences from Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio and her Masters of Science in Cyber Operations (Computer/Information Security) from the Air Force Institute of Technology at Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio. Although she went to school far away, she is a Raleigh native, having been born right around the corner at Rex Hospital and graduating from Enloe High School.
While her husband was in the Army, Kristen worked at a variety of government contractors before being hired to teach computer courses (and an occasional mathematics course) at Hopkinsville Community College in Hopkinsville, KY. She followed that up by teaching more computer courses to middle and high school students at Concord Christian School in Knoxville, TN. All this time, she hoped to get to teach more math and satisfied that urge by tutoring. Now she joins us at Fusion Academy to do just that – teach math classes!
When she isn’t teaching at Fusion, Kristen is busy doing life with her husband and her three daughters – two teens and a preteen. They have two family dogs and a guinea pig. In her leisure time, Kristen enjoys reading, running and doing activities at her church.
Kristen's own life experiences as a parent drew her to Fusion Raleigh. She is well-prepared to walk beside our families and students. She looks forward to being a trustworthy, compassionate and inspiring influence in the lives of her students.
