Tina is the Post-Secondary Counselor at Fusion – Princeton campus. Tina was born and raised in Westchester, NY, but decided to move to North Carolina to pursue her educational journey in counseling. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Fayetteville State University. Tina went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. After graduation, Tina moved back to the tristate area and became licensed in the state of NJ as a Mental Health Therapist (LAC). She is currently working towards LPC licensure. Tina primarily worked with an adolescent/at-risk youth, LBGTQ, and adult population, providing individual, group and family counseling services, in a clinical setting. Tina specializes in a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, ADHD, substance abuse and trauma. Additionally, while working in the mental health field, Tina continued her education to attain School Counselor certification at New Jersey City University. Through her previous work in a school setting, she is also experienced in working with adolescents to provide social-emotional support, college/career planning, academic counseling, and student advocacy. Tina approaches counseling through a solution-focused and a cognitive-behavioral approach. She is also recognized for her ability to build rapport with her students. Tina is passionate about supporting youth through their academic journey while assisting students to become aware of their strengths, interests, and abilities. In her free time, Tina enjoys spending time with her Chihuahua, Twinkie, listening to music, dancing and travelling.
