Filippa is a Foreign Language (Italian and Latin) and Psychology teacher. She grew up in Catania, Italy. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences (History; Psychology; Sociology) from Thomas Edison State College here in NJ. She has worked for an Italian bank and the Italian National Railroad. After marrying and raising 5 children, her desire was to become a teacher of her native Italian language, as well as its origin language, Latin. She has taught Italian and/or Latin at two private schools in Burlington and Holmdel, NJ, originally creating those programs at one school. She also has volunteered teaching Italian to elementary school students as at the local public library, as well as volunteering in mentoring programs for boys and girls. She enjoys the Jersey Shore and likes to spend as much time as possible with her grand-children.
