Caroline Buchanan double majored in Mathematics and Music at the University of Pennsylvania. She holds teacher certification from the Rutgers Camden Institute for Effective Education and won the Nancy Higginson Dorr Award for the most promising secondary school teacher in the program.
Caroline has taught high school mathematics for about five years, in both public and private schools. At YSC Academy, she was department chair and designed a curriculum that emphasized college readiness while encouraging students to explore personal passions and everyday mathematics literacy.
