Will Wood

Assistant Director

Will is the Assistant Director of the Plano campus. Will earned a Bachelor and Masters degree in Music Composition from Texas Christian University. During his time there, Will fell in love with educating and mentoring students. He jumped at every opportunity to develop his skillset as a leader and role-model. He led student-centered orientation programs for high school and college students, and taught college courses as a graduate assistant.

Will joined Fusion Academy in 2015, a founding member of the Southlake campus. There, Will established a vibrant music program in the recording studio, facilitating a student-driven school rock band – “The Elements.” In addition to teaching a variety of courses, Will empowered and trained new teachers as the Electives Department Head. He created an effective Life Skills and Wellness program and built up student clubs as an integral part of the campus experience.

Additionally, Will has helped write and align curriculum for Fusion nation-wide, was a founding member of Fusion’s Teacher Advisory Group, and has facilitated New Fusion Orientation to train new Fusion Teachers in the region.

In his free time, Will likes to sing songs with his wife, Victoria, and play games – board games, video games, and Dungeons & Dragons.
