Viviana Alvillar is a mathematics and science teacher at Fusion Academy. Born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley Viviana earned her B.A in Chicano Studies and Spanish at UC Davis. As a first-generation graduate, Viviana was inspired by her mentors and teachers to become an educator. Her goal as educator is to inspire the young minds of teens and help them enjoy the journey of math/science. She has worked summer programs teaching marine biology and other mathematics to underserved communities. On her spare time, she enjoys playing the guitar, reading, and exploring nature.
