Marc has an undergraduate degree in ecology from the University of California, Irvine, where his focus was on environmental chemistry. Marc also has a graduate degree in philosophy from the California State University, Los Angeles, where he focused on modern philosophy, ethics, and the history of math and science. These degrees enable Marc to bring a unique and fun perspective to the math and science curriculum he teaches at Fusion Academy, Pasadena!

This experience taught Marc the value of mentorship, which he brings to the classroom every day, as expressed in Fusion's school-wide learner outcomes (SLO's), where students are encouraged to be resourceful, compassionate, emotionally secure, and independent critical thinkers! He was also a graduate assistant in his time at Cal State LA, where he learned how to prepare curriculum, lecture, hold office hours, and work with students in a 1 to 1 setting, a cornerstone of the Fusion educational model.
