Special Education Lead/Teacher/Mentor
MS. Marriage & Family Therapy, Fuller Grad.
I teach English, Spanish and History at Fusion Pasadena. I was raised in Pasadena, and love working in this town I grew up in. I earned my bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Spanish at Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL.. After college, I received my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and worked as a therapist for several years. However, teaching had always been in the back of my mind, and Fusion gave me the opportunity to try my hand at it. I never looked back.
Fusion combines the two things I love: learning and relationship-building. I am passionate about creating spaces where students can be challenged academically, but also explore what it means to be a whole and healthy person. Some other current interests include post-apocalyptic literature, urban backyard chickens, and ramen. When I’m not teaching, I can be found running after my 1 ½ -year-old daughter, Atticus, or obsessively reading food blogs.
