Martha is currently attending NYU for MS in Speech Language Pathology. She graduated from Bridgewater State University with MEd in Special Education.

Experience

Martha has worked 6 years in special education in a variety of school formats. She started teaching at the May Center School for Autism where she worked with students (2nd-12th grade) for 2.5 years before working at the COMPASS school. At the COMPASS school she worked as the science teacher in the high school and later was the HS Lead Teacher where she mentored incoming teachers and provided resources to assist teachers with adapting classroom materials and curriculum to meet the specific needs of the students. Last year she worked as the Special Education Teacher in the English Learner Department at Revere High School. She assisted teachers in adapting ESL curriculum to meet the needs of the English learners with disabilities and assisted with ensuring accommodations for the ACCESS and MCAS testing.

Fun Facts and Hobbies

  • Currently eating her way through the US 12/50 states so far!
  • Will also be a licensed massage therapist by October 2022!
  • Has 2 fur babies both with Z names! Zane and Zuko
