Emily has been in Boston for 35 years, but is a New Yorker at heart. She is not a Yankees fan (but, to be fair, not a baseball fan…)
Emily holds an undergraduate degree in Middle School Education and a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. Areas of concentration for both degrees were integrating the arts into the curriculum and special needs instruction. She has taught or tutored English/Language Arts for 25 years in traditional classrooms with as few as 15 and as many as 30 students. Teaching one student at a time is an exciting change!
Emily enjoys foreign languages, octopuses (correct plural!), neuroscience, caves, piano duets, and her daughters Ruby and Magnolia.
