Education

Rachel focused on a love of art at a young age, studying Applied Design at a vocational high school. She went on to earn a BFA in Graphic Design from Massachusetts College of Art & Design, and then came to New York City to work in Advertising.

Experience

She enjoyed a fulfilling and successful career as an Art Director until she became a parent, and shifted gears, obtaining an MA in Counseling, with a Specialization in Art Therapy from Caldwell University. Rachel fell in love with teaching while in a Newark classroom, and brings all of her curiosity and life experience into her lessons, customizing the communication of information based on each individual student’s strengths and needs.

Fun Facts and Hobbies

  • When she’s not teaching, Rachel spends time creating, rollerblading, being outdoors, hanging with her family, and taking her dog on long walks.
  • She has made peace with the fact that she will not fulfill her dream of playing basketball in the Olympics, and is a huge fan of women’s sports.
