Education
Originally, from New York, JP received his BA/BS in International Business/Latin American Studies/Spanish from Plattsburgh State University in New York. During his time at Plattsburgh, he took the time to complete a year of coursework at The Adolfo Ibáñez University in Viña del Mar, Chile. While there, he studied International Trade while interning at Pro-Chile.
Experience
After graduating JP worked in the hospitality/entertainment industry, he always had a penchant for tutoring French/Spanish/English to those who inquired. His experience in tutoring spans across the Atlantic from France to North and South America and began when he was just a young boy. At the age of eight, he already had his first student. He taught French to “Nick” a Greek deli owner in JP’s native Jackson Heights, Queens. Back then, he accepted payment in the form of Snickers bars.
Fun Facts and Hobbies
- Outside of the classroom, JP is a proud husband and father of two teenagers. He spends his extra time helping at the Salvation Army in Brooklyn
- If his schedule allows he makes time to see friends and family and to attend a concert or two.
- You can always find him in and out of his home in the suburbs of NJ tinkering around the garden / garage, cooking, or going to see his son play football or watch his daughter in a play.
