Amy earned a Bachelor’s degree with a double major in History and Political Science from Swarthmore College. She holds her Master of Arts degree from Teachers College at Columbia University where she focused on the Teaching of Social Studies. Her thesis explored issues of transracial adoption and best practices in the classroom. Through her experience in independent schools, Amy focused on creating inclusive classrooms with a curriculum mindful of an equity and justice framework.
In her free time, Amy loves to read, cook, and watch movies with her family. Amy bakes with her daughter Mai and watches Sci-Fi with her son Jack. As a family, they love to spend time at the beach.
