Amir was born and raised in Israel and after serving for 3 years in the Israeli Defense Force (IDF), he came to the United States to pursue his career in science and education. After getting his Bachelor and Masters' degrees in Chemistry from Queens College (CUNY), he completed his PhD studies at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Biomedical Research field specializing in Developmental and Molecular Biology.
Throughout his undergraduate and graduate education, Amir has been teaching students Science, Math as well as Hebrew both in the classroom setting and small groups, as well as one-on-one tutoring and mentoring.
During his free time Amir enjoys playing music with his flute, guitar and piano - a childhood passion that never seems to be going away. He also likes to swim and travel around the world with his family.
