Having previously worked as a personal trainer, psychoeducation group facilitator, and program manager, Matt is thrilled to inject his passion for creativity, curiosity and connection into the Homework Café.

At an early age, Matt developed a foundational and curious fervor for understanding the human psyche, condition, and experience. Eventually, he channeled this passion into the field of psychology. In 2013, he graduated with a B.A. in Psychology and is close to completing his M.A in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Psychotherapy from Pepperdine University.

When he’s not at Fusion, you can find Matt discussing ideas with anyone willing to engage in deep conversations, writing prolifically (or taking a break from writing), and trying not to embarrass himself while he rediscovers his love for surfing. One thing you might be surprised to discover about Matt is that he’s lived in five different cities up and down the California coast, but has never lived more than five miles from a beach.

A fun fact about Matt is that he was on the game show “Family Feud”, although he wasn’t able to contribute to consecutive victories as he was in utero.
